New Delhi: Khalas girl, actress Isha Koppikar has worked in the industry for about three decades. She started her film as a lead in 1998 with ‘Chandralekha’ of a Telugu enterprise, before she made an appearance in ‘W/O V. Vara Prasad’ (Telugu film) and slowly moved to Bollywood. In an interview with Hindi Rush recently, Isha recalled a scene from her first film Chandralekha, revealing that she was slapped 14 times by Nagarjuna for a scene.

He recalled the time and said, “I was slapped by Nagarjuna. I was a fully committed actor that I want to perform in a real, method manner. So when he was slapping me, I didn’t feel it. It was my second film, so I told him, ‘Nag, you really slap.’ He said, ‘Are you sure, I can’t.’ I said, ‘I want I am not feeling it yet.’ So he slapped me, but slowly.

About Isha Koppikar’s film career
He acted in a Tamil film ‘Kadhal Kavita’ in 1998, for which he also won the Filmfare Best Female Debut Award. After acting in some Tamil, Telugu and Kannada languages, Isha made her Bollywood debut in Karisma Kapoor-Hritik Roshan starrer ‘Fiza’ in 2000. The film was directed by Khalid Mohammed. She then went in 2001 to act in films like Rahul, Pyaar Ishq and Mohabbat, Amdani Atini Khara Rupia.
But it was in 2002, Ram Gopal Varma’s ‘Company’ marked the start of Vivek Oberoi that Isha’s item song ‘Khalas’ became a chartbuster and became a popular popular star. Soon, she became a ‘Khalas’ girl, we know today.
Isha is shown in many films, such as Kate, Pizar, Dil Ka Rishta, Qayamat: City Under Threat, Darna Mana Hai, Lok Kargil, Rudraksha, Krishna Cottage, Kya Kool Hai Hum, Ek Viva … Aisa also in various others.
Isha Koppikar married Timmy Narang in 2009 and has a daughter of the couple. However, he divorced in 2023.
