Gerbes gained recognition with his first feature film, pink clouds, Which debuted at the Sundance Film Festival in 2021. International sales of the film have been launched by Hanway Films ahead of Cannes, with UTA Independent Film Group handling US distribution. Kamala Films’ Marisa McMahon and Ashley Schleifer are producing the project, with Beetz also serving as an executive producer.
